The newly built drive-thru at HEB pharmacy has 5 lanes served by 2 cash registers. The employees supervise the cars in the lanes with a camera monitor. I built a local AI-powered vehicle detection system to provide a timer for how long each car had been in each lane and help determine the order of each car’s arrival. This system was designed to be a HIPAA-compliant and security-focused closed-loop system by not retaining any data and not having any wireless connections.
Shown below is a video of the system being tested using a traffic intersection camera. The traffic camera footage is played on one computer with the Raspberry Pi intercepting the hdmi output between the PC and the monitor. This is how it is set up inside the pharmacy, and it runs on any live footage it is provided.
